Intensive board-and-train programs range from $1,500-$4,000 for 2-4 weeks depending on the trainer and the behavioral issues being addressed. Many trainers offer package discounts for multiple sessions.

Look for trainers who use positive reinforcement methods — rewarding good behavior rather than punishing bad behavior.
